An amazing collection of solo percussion recorded live in concerts during two decades (1970s-1980s), around the world from Woodstock, to Berlin, Stuttgart, Milan, and Los Angeles. Some of the tracks comes from the first solo Centazzo's LP released in 1974 "Fragmentos", and are dedicated to Pablo Neruda's poetry. Fragments #1

In 1978, thanks to Eugene Chadbourne, Davey Williams and John Zorn I was able to organize a memorable US tour. On this CD you'll find the original New York recording session with a sextet of great musicians. The tape has been released in the past on ICTUS LP in a reduced version and on CD in an unfortunate cut full of wrong edit. Now you can finally enjoy the music as it was conceived and performed. NY Sextet Improvisation
The Andrzej Jagodzinski Trio's first album, Chopin, was named Best Record of 1994 by Jazz Forum Magazine and won the Fryderyk Award (Polish Grammy) as best jazz record of the year. The Trio was a key influence in launching the "Chopin stream" in Polish jazz.
Most attempts to jazz up [classical music] are doomed to failure but Jagodzinski manages to avoid the "switched-on Bach" approach, listening out for those aspects of Chopin's celebrated pianism which are most jazz-like [...] Very beautiful and unaffected music. (Richard Cook & Brian Morton, the Penguin Guide to Jazz on CD, 1996)

Apostolis' first solo album recorded in one day, with members of Pat Metheny's Group, including current SBB drummer - Paula Wertico. Jazz-rock feast, enhanced by Apostolis solo recording "Pinocchio", recorded in May of 1993. This is the original 1st release with initial cover art.
Asocjacja Hagaw a is the most memorable example of trad revival in Polish jazz of 1960s. The Group was originally established in May 1964 as the Stodola club quintet. The name "Hagaw" came from the first letters of names of original band members.
I find this music challenging, exciting and in a fluid motion. I hope that this is the beginning for many other experiences to come. (Andrea Centazzo) Back to the Future
The group recorded only one self-titled album but it marked the history of Polish jazz forever. Jazz Forum's critics survey in 1990s found 'Time Killers' to be the Best Polish Jazz Record of 1980's.
I have always been intrigued by the piano's restrictions in creation of personal and original sound and style, far removed from versatility of the clarinet or saxophone... (B.B.Oles)
Very groovy vocal jazz from Poland -- very much in the style of the best work by the Novi Singers! The group's led by the lovely Ewa Bem, but features harmonizing male voices behind her on many titles -- set alongside lightly electric instrumentation that has lots of sweet breezy touches! There's a very playful feel to the tunes that's clearly inspired by the bossa vocals of Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66 -- but which also has some great electric Polish jazz 70s touches as well.
